Future improvements (i.e. missing features)

• On graphics
• We want to do a "beep" of the computer speaker when the auction begins, is it possible?
• Is there a command line option for z-Tree to specify the name of the data file (the .xls file) created?
• Can subjects during a treatment communicate among each other?
• The click on the mouse during a session made the subjects partly insecure. Is it possible to press the button in a box with the enter key?
• The reaction time is only in seconds - is it possible to have it in milliseconds as well?

On graphics

Currently, graphics are implemented into z-Tree. They will be ready in future versions.

This is currently not possible. I will think about an implementation.

Is there a command line option for z-Tree to specify the name of the data file (the .xls file) created?

There is no such option for the moment. But I will think about an implementation.

Can subjects communicate among each other during a treatment?

This is not possible yet, but on my to do list for further z-Tree improvements.

No, there is no possibility to make a key input. There is only input after a mouse click.

The reaction time is only in seconds - is it possible to have it in milliseconds as well?

No, the decision time is the time displayed at the z-Leafs' screens (the clients) and they get the time from z-Tree (the server). This way, unpredictable time delays due to the network will erase measurement errors. However, I know that in particular psychologists need more precise decision time so I will try to implement a feature to avoid these delays in future versions.
